Sad
Was there during a comedy drag show. Poorly set up and a mess. Performers appeared to be ok. Floor of the building felt like it was going to fall into the basement. Set up of the place seemed very "thrown together". A mess, really. 50% lesbian during this event. just FYI. Drinks served quickly, staff was ok. Prices good. 15 people standing literally in front of the door smoking, almost seemed like a blockade to keep people out.
Fun Dive
The bar is a dive. no doubt but everyone there is very friendly. I found a mix of all types of people. No attitudes, just fun hanging out local bar.I underdstand there is new ownership. It is what it is... a local bar with local crowd. If you are looking to kick back, have a couple drinks, laugh and meet some new people it is perfect.
say what
I am glad people have a place to go in Springfield. However, this place isn't worthy of a visit. I guess it use to be called Edge and is now called Touche'. This is the ONLY bar in america where they sell single wrapped Ho-Ho's. The clients looked as if they needed to lay off those cream filled everlasting cakes.
Now called
My partner and I had great times the past couple years when visiting Springfield at the Edge. We visited the renamed "Touche" this past weekend and learned the bar is under new management. We paid a $4 cover to see a totally lame drag show and aside from the bartender asking if we wanted another round, not one person in the bar spoke to us all night. Skip Touche and try the Mix Ultra Lounge on 1221 E St. Louis St. (National). Much friendlier staff and patrons, good music, and great drink specials. Many of the former Edge patrons are now at Mix.
