Greater Ozarks Equality March 2014

The Greater Ozarks Pridefest invites the Ozarks to #BeTheChange and stop bullying and saves lives. March Line Up: 11am (Chestnut St and Benton Ave) March Start: 11:30am (South on Benton Ave then east on St. Louis Street to Park Central Square) The March will be a mile long, with every participant's mile going to Joe's Walk For Change. This year the March is a community call to protect ALL children from bullying; especially lesbian, gay, bi, trans, questioning, queer and intersex youth (LGBTQQI). We are honored to be joining forces with Joe's Walk for Change. Here is his story: Joe set off on foot across the United States after losing his son, Jadin, to suicide. Jadin was bullied relentlessly for being gay, both in school and online. After this terrible loss Joe figured he had two choices, lay down and give up or stand up and walk. Follow Joe on his journey across the United States as he changes the way people communicate, ends the stigma of suicide and fights for equal rights for everyone. We encourage our community to tell our youth they are "never alone, never unloved" by walking in this year's Greater Ozarks Equality March.
